Race Day

 It was a cold and rainy race day, Ben and Eliza both did great. 

Ben did swimmingly for sitting at a desk and studying 100% of the time- I think he placed 3rd in his age division. It was such a rainy morning that I kept missing him during the race, but watching him finish is always fun. The cold and rainy Saturday morning took me back to being a spectator of the Cornell crew team. I loved watching him race. 

I hope he has time again one day to row.

 These race day pictures of Eliza are so classic. She was again this year the smallest competitor. We signed her up weeks before and she asked nearly every day how long until the race.

Started and ended strong with a smile on her face.

California

Ben lucked out and got to go to Southern Cali for his spring break. The stories I heard mostly entailed amazing tacos and epic surfing adventures. I was very happy he could go do something really fun and different from med school! Hanging out with the kids and I for 10 days straight isn't exactly what I would call, relaxing.

Mr. Snowman

Eliza loves to play in the snow and especially loves to play in the snow with Ben. Yesterday was her lucky day as they built a snowman. She told me the snowman would never melt. She is wearing my boots- for the picture, hers where wet:)

Farmer's Market Corn + Ben

The man knows how to grill my friends, and the kids and I love to eat his fresh grilled Missouri corn. mmm. I am thinking, w/o confirmation from Ben yet, that he wanted me to include this picture he took of his corn:) Props Ben, it was delish.

Tri

Ben, Mike and Tyler compete in a Triathlon. They did very well. Especially considering they have been sitting in "the nook" studying since August. Congrats you 3 on the tri + surviving your first year of med school.

Ben got second place in his age, nice work. For reward, he received a heavy engraved rock, awesome. William is tuckered out from a long morning.  Aimee's parents hosted us for dinner, and Eliza adopted Odee's Grandma + Grandpa for an evening. Great friends indeed.
