Cousins!

The kids have always dreamed of having cousins come to their house! Well luckily we are closer now and we had the best visitors! This darling family drove far to see us and it was so fun to have the kids all play together and of course hang with Whit and Jake. We can't wait for the next trip.

Jake!

 A few days after Oliver was born we were able to meet Jake in the airport for a few hours as he had a layover- it was so fun to see him and it was so special that we got to introduce him to Oliver. We love visitors!

Utah!

 The kids and I flew to Utah to visit our families!

 Grandma Care had the June/July birthday parties the day we arrived.

Mother's Day

 

We are expecting a baby early October! 

I am half way through the pregnancy which is a happy mark to get past.

Grandma Care

 Grandma Care came to visit!

Pure joy for all.

 

We got to visit the Kansas City temple open house, beautiful.

I may have a horizontal stripe problem, evidence is showing.

 Fun days of shopping, quilting, finishing projects, pedicures, phones dropped in pedicure tubs, getting things done Carolyn-style (which means you get ALOT done) and just having fun hanging out. We miss her!

It was so hard to say good bye. Eliza had a total break down in the car, no idea where she gets that from. We love having visitors! Thanks for coming Mom!

Priceless...

My dear friend took time out of her busy schedule to do a photography session of our little family while we were both visiting Utah. I love her clean style and the way she is with little ones.  Thanks so much Cass! 

SASSAart...

Charles

 Late one night we heard a loud noise and peeking out the front windows we saw that a semi truck had made a wrong turn and ended up down our little circle and could not get out. Then the poor driver, Charles,  proceeded to try to turn the truck around. Well, this did not go as planned and things got real tricky.  Apparently, the 18-wheeler (carrying a full load of sheet rock was making a delivery to HD) could not pull it off, so poor Charles had to wait to have an expensive wrecker (big tow truck) bail him out. We were spying through the window, but by the end of the night we, along with Pete and Andy were outside cheering poor Charles on as the truck finally made it out. Of course my Mom basically bore her testimony to Charles, about how all would be well and to not fret. She asked him whole-heartedly what she could do for him (at nearly midnight) and he looked back and said, "Well, I really just need a cigarette." Sweet Carolyn looked back with her genuine gaze and replied, "Oh Charles, If only I weren't blocked in by your truck, I could get you a cigarette." She also found out that it was his first week on the job. Poor Charles. Ben and I were standing there trying our hardest to keep straight faces during the conversation. Classic moment with Mom.

August

Come August we will welcome another little one into our home!
I'm due Aug 3. We are very happy and excited.
